Minnesota Dawah Institute, consisting of a group of Muslims, intellectuals, scholars, community leaders and students, held the 2nd Annual Muslim Youth Convention. The purpose of this event is to save our youth that are heading in the wrong direction and to monitor them to became the leaders of tomorrow. Alhamdulah with the help Allah the event turn out was a success. We would like to thank our attendanees that attend this great event and most defintly our guest speakers that made this possible and inshallah we hope to see you next year for another wonderful convention.

"Surely Abraham was an example, obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the polytheists. He was grateful for Our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the righteous."

Narrated Abu Sai’d Al-Khudri (radiallahu ‘anhu): The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) used to proceed to the musallah on the days of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha; the first thing to begin with was the prayer and after that he would stand in front of the people and the people would keep sitting in their rows. Then he would preach to them, advise them and give them orders, (i.e. Khutba). And after that if he wished to send an army for an expedition, he would do so; or if he wanted to give an order, he would do so, and then depart. The people followed this tradition till I went out with Marwan, the Governor of Medina, for the prayer of Eid-ul-Adha or Eid-ul-Fitr.
